Pee Wee Fishing - When You Feel It, Reel It!
Pee Wee Fishing is an integral part of the Port Moresby Game Fishing Club, designed to introduce kids to the fun and excitement of fishing in a safe and family-friendly environment. It’s one of the most popular regular activities we run, and a great way to get the younger generation involved in our sport.
Held on the first Saturday of every month, Pee Wee Fishing is open to all RPYC members and their families. For only K10 per child, kids get the chance to spend two hours fishing off the Club Gantry – right in the heart of Yacht Club harbour.
What’s Included:
Passports to Fishing – Learning Through Fun
PMGFC is proud to be part of the IGFA Passports to Fishing Program, an international initiative that introduces children to fishing through hands-on learning stations. This program teaches kids about tackle, knot tying, conservation, environmental stewardship, and angling techniques in a fun and engaging way. By combining Pee Wee Fishing with the IGFA program, we give our young anglers not only a great day out but also the foundation for a lifelong passion for fishing.
Why Pee Wee Fishing Matters:
Pee Wee Fishing has become one of the most loved traditions at PMGFC, and we’re proud to see so many kids getting their first taste of fishing through the program. Whether it’s your child’s first time with a rod or they’re already hooked, Pee Wee Fishing is the perfect way to spend the afternoon.
