The Port Moresby Game Fishing Club (PMGFC) is recognised as one of the premier game fishing clubs in the South Pacific. Established at the heart of Papua New Guinea’s capital, our clubhouse is located within the Royal Papua Yacht Club marina, with world-class fishing grounds right on our doorstep.
PMGFC has a proud history of promoting the sport of game fishing in PNG. From international record-breaking catches to family-friendly events, our Club is home to a vibrant community of anglers — from seasoned competitors to juniors casting their first line. |
Beyond the competitions, PMGFC plays a key role in developing the next generation of anglers. Our Pee Wee Fishing program, supported by the IGFA Passports to Fishing initiative, introduces children to fishing in a safe and enjoyable environment while teaching them respect for the ocean and conservation values.
